John and Danielle Kelley operate Zoe Sky Ranch & Rescue, a non-profit organization linking rescued horses to hurting youth, in Larkspur, Colorado. Beginning in 2007 with the rescue of their first horse, Bullet, they later began opening the ranch to kids with physical and emotional challenges. Although they have quite a bit of "special needs" kids & autism, they accept ALL kids without those type of challenges as well. When the kids come to the ranch, they are all just normal kids, making friends despite any challenges and they bond with each other and the horses, no peer pressure. The Kelleys tell the kids with special needs, that they need them because they are special.
