A homeschooled student from Minnesota, Victoria Kasten started writing poetry at the age of eight. Inspired by a family trip to the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary, she decided to try writing a book. The result, "Mighty Stallion," was written when she was twelve. Now seventeen, Victoria envisions the series eventually including ten books. She is currently finishing up the sixth in the "Mighty Stallion" series.

Victoria has participated in many events and book signings.  She has been the subject of newspaper and magazine articles, as well as having been interviewed by many radio stations.

Victoria has taught hundreds of school-age children at Young Writers conferences in MN.  She has also been able to share the story of her writing experiences with many additional children through other school and library programs.

Victoria loves horses and has two of her own. Her family also raises Alpacas on their farm, Rose Crest Alpacas.
